Lawrence Brooks is a person whose name tells us nothing. But we should all know who this man is.
Lawrence is the oldest veteran in America. He recently celebrated his 110th birthday.
He served the country between 1940 and 1945 in the 91st Engineer Battalion, stationed in New Guinea and then the Philippines.
Lawrence Brooks was recently decorated by the National War Museum in New Orleans.
He officially became the oldest veteran in the United States. This title was previously held by Richard Overton who died at the venerable age of 112.
Following the death of Mr. Richard Overton, the National World War began to celebrate Lawrence’s every birthday.
The museum’s vice president, Peter Crean, recently said that they are very attached to the elderly veteran and that they love him deeply.
Peter Crean has spoken as long as Lawrence is alive, they will celebrate his birthday and have a party every year.
The old veteran does not see with one eye and with the other he sees quite a bit. But this is quite normal for his old age.
We can only wish a warm Happy Birthday to the elderly veteran and hope he will be with us many years from now.
